... I met you at a house concert a couple of years ago. My ex boyfriend and i bought your CD and you autographed it for us. I left him, but maintained custody of the CD! Love comes....Love goes...cest la vie

The reason I am writing, is to tell you that I shared the CD with my 26 yr. old son and my future daughter in law. I called their attention to one of your songs, as it reminded me of their love. Just want you to know, that they are getting married on the beach on Sunday and their first dance as man and wife will be to your beautiful song,

Two Crazy People. Thank you for bringing a special memory to my children as they begin their life together.

I just wanted you to know that I've sent some of your CDs over to Iraq.  One of my co-workers, Gary Frey, is a formerly active-duty Marine officer who is actually now is the reserves. He was sent to Iraq several months  ago, with no commitment date for his return to the states and civilian life...leaving behind his wife and two grade-school children. Those of us at work have been sending care packages to him: books, magazines, candy, CDs. I sent him several of your CDs, which he has been loving! He himself is a guitar player, and was able to take a beater guitar with him so I  just knew he'd like your music.

Hi Eric, my name is PeterD and I have been doing article research for the Alphas on-line since 1996. I just stopped by on my cyber tour and want to thank you for all that you are doing for Alphas across this great country of ours. I too, have alpha-1 and just wanted to share my thanks.

I'm a dead fan of fast songs, but believe me; you just made me forget all of those and enter into another world. Thanks!

Life is a stage, God is the director, people like you are the performers. Kudos & thanks to you!

His songs are more than mere words; they are the poetry of our soul.  His words are full of life and sensitivity, to many, even spiritual.

We received your new CD last Saturday and we love the songs and music.  It's the 'real' Eric Hansen with songs about life.  About situations that put a mirror in front of one's face asking "Don't you recognize yourself?"

I just discovered your music from an article in the Baltimore Sun (April 2004) and I love it. I was looking for music that my 1 year old son and I could enjoy together and this is definitely it...keep up the good work:)

Thank you Eric for visiting York, PA and putting on such a a great show on April 16th (2004). You truly are blessed with a gift of music, both vocally and lyrically. Please keep up your great musical mission, as long as you can easily do so.

Hello -- I rarely listen to the radio, but today I turned it on in the car and heard your interview on KXCI here in Tucson. Wow! Your Lover's Lullaby almost had me crying, right there on Kino Parkway. Then I was laughing out loud at the light at Campbell and Broadway as Tulip was quoting the humans ("blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah...")! I told my husband about you when I got home...We'd love to see you in perform in person...I spent more time than I intended exploring your website. I have an almost-three-year-old nephew who is getting your music for his birthday in two weeks, I can tell you that! Thanks for doing what you do, and for sharing it with all the rest of us. I do hope we get to be participants in your live audience soon.

Last night I went to Borders feeling a little lonely but keeping busy as I always do and I heard this sound flowing from the Coffee shop and so I followed this wonderful sound and stood there as you sang "Someday" I stood there and thought what a voice.  You can hear his soul. I had to buy Two CD's I got home and played both of them "Real Slow" and "Lucky" What a great find!  But I forgot the book I went to buy. ;)  I truly love your music.  Thank you

His songs just pull you in and embrace you tightly. Now I'm sorry to have missed him at Folk Alliance. I'll try not to miss him again...

Here's the latest from one of your youngest fans (2) who can now pronounce her own name, Nikita! Courtesy of my sister, Claudia. Thought you’d enjoy! “Nikita wanted to hear Nobody Knows while eating dinner last night – now she’s making song requests.  First it was ‘How ‘bout Nobody Knows?’  Then ‘How ‘bout baby goose?’  Then ‘How ‘bout I’m me?’ ‘How’bout ooo boo song? At least she’s finally saying “Nikita” instead of “Kitata.”

I've been meaning to write to you since last May.  That's the first time I heard your music.  My husband George works at National Jewish Medical Research Center in Denver, CO.  You visited the hospital and sang for them and spoke.  Your words and music inspired my husband so much he bought 3 CD's, "Lucky", "Real Slow" and "Hero in the Dark" (my favorite).  …I took your CD's with me to the garage the month of May, as I spent a few hours every day for a week staining and varnishing…but I had many hours to listen to your 3 CD's spin without ceasing for that week.  Each song spoke to me.  Your insight, due to your illness, overflows from your music in an encouraging way…I'm encouraged to enjoy every moment, every sunset, every rainstorm, every breath.  You've touched my life.  Thank you.  So many things go unsaid, and I am encouraged to not let another day go by without saying them.  Starting with you............Thank you…. Our oldest child graduates in the spring of 2003.  I'm planning on using your song "Leap of Faith" in his video I'm making as background music to his pictures…with permission…I think your song "Hero in the Dark" should be a theme song to the many recovery workers tirelessly working on the World Trade Center/Pentagon disasters.  I can envision that song playing while pictures of policemen, firefighters, nurses, doctors, neighbors offering comforting shoulders, etc., flash by on a screen.  The song speaks perfectly of those everyday heroes working silently to help...I wish you the very best Mr. Hansen. I may not get the privilege of meeting you face to face as my husband did, in this life, but I shall look forward to meeting you in the next life........in Heaven.

- Loved your concert the other night at 'Fiddler's Dream,' and what a treat it was to listen to, and thoroughly enjoy the "Nobody Knows" CD the next night. There's just something about this compilation that I especially like -- and I love all your CDs. These songs just seem to capture your spirit and love of life so well. -Hope to see you again soon.

Hi there! We met you in Dewey in the pumpkin patch.  My daughter, who is 7 ½, is so 'connected to Eric' (her words).  She has a made up a dance to Suntan and a Cellular Phone.  Thank you for your music.  What a gift.  Our entire family loves it.  Even the baby listens.

Cari

I wanted to thank you “officially” for playing the Texas Alpha Conference.  That was definitely the most enjoyable part of the day for me, and I got nothing but positive feedback from everyone else.  Thanks for your generous spirit and heck…for just being a great guy.

Dear Eric, thanks for the CD, it’s fantastic.  God surely has blessed you. Keep your faith in God and he will take good care of you.  This music has really touched my heart.  It’s better than any other music that I have listened to.

"I was given your CD entitle(d) Nobody Knows and have not stopped listening to it since. You performed at National Jewish where I work and I think you are incredible. I wish you continued prosperity, health and happiness. My children enjoyed your cd tremendously. I can't get my daughter to stop singing the Boo Boo Blues, not that I want to. With her father gone (for good) she had a boo boo and she cracked up when she heard it so now, it's her song. I have to say, I (at 32) needed and continue to need "I Am I."

“Thank you for an evening of beautiful music at Coffee Rush....the biggest rush wasn't from the coffee...I'm still feeling the effects today.”

I was a lucky audience member this past year when Eric played at Coal Creek Coffee House in Laramie, WY. I really enjoyed him and wish that he would come back.  I wanted to let you folks know that he has a fan here.”

Although I love all of your music, there are several songs that really touch my heart and mind and I have so much respect for you as a songwriter.  It really takes a talent to create something out of nothing as well as you do it and then to be able to vocalize the words with so much feeling.  It’s terrific. I wanted to reinforce what effect your music has on people such as myself.  Thanks for giving me the opportunity to hear it again.

Thank you for coming to Phoenix last night.  We heard you at Fiddler’s Dream.  You were awesome.  You are outstanding on stage.  I really like the feeling I got when I watched you come alive on stage.  Your performance comes from the heart and it really shows that you enjoy it.  We would love to see you again.

Just a note to let you know how much I enjoyed your music at the service in Minden and at the concert in Carson City. Your music is written from the heart and touches me in so many different ways. I have been listening to your CD, Hero in the Dark since the concert and love it. Your music opens my heart, is honest, makes me smile, makes me feel good and touches me. Thank you. You are in my heart and prayers and I see you whole and well and continuing to share the spirit of who you are with others through your music.  Please come back we loved having you here. In love and appreciation,

Denise F. from Nevada
